	Large Party FAQ’s
	Can I book a reservation for a group and not reserve the whole restaurant? Groups of up to 40 people at lunch and 30 people at dinner can be booked without reserving the whole restaurant. Confirmations must be made at least 4days in advance of reservation. This will be the minimum number of people that you will be charged for. What times are available to book a large group? Lunch Groups (Monday – Friday) 11:30 am – 4:00pm with lunch being served from 11:30am – 2:00pm Dinner Groups (7 Days) 5:30pm – 2:00am with dinner being served between 5:30 and 10:00pm* Can a special menu be arranged? A set menu will be made from either the current lunch or dinner menu. Any special requests must be made at least two weeksin advance of the reservation Is a deposit taken for large groups? A deposit will not be taken; however, a credit card number will be needed to make the reservation. If the reservation is cancelled with less then 48 hours notice, a cancellation fee will be applied. The cancellation fee will be determined by 20% of the price of the menu and size of group. Can I bring my own cake? Yes, there will be a plating fee of $4.50 per person. Is gratuity added to my bill? Gratuity will be added to bills where set menus have been chosen. Our gratuity is currently at 18% Note: When coming in with a large group, it can take a long time to process payments. If you have a time restraint, it is easier and quicker to let everyone know to bring cash with them. Absinthe is wheelchair accessible and has a parking lot off of Hinton Ave. We accept Cash, Debit, Visa and MasterCard. 	Is there a fee to book a private function at Absinthe? There is no fee, providing: the minimum expenditure is met OR The confirmed number of people are present whichever is GREATER. THE MINIMUM IS BEFORE TAXES AND GRATUITY. Dinner Sunday & Monday $3000 Tuesday, Wednesday $3500 Thursday $4500 Friday & Saturday $6500 All prices are exclusive of taxes and gratuity Lunch Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday $1800 Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday $2500 All prices are exclusive of taxes and gratuity Because we are closed on all public holidays any function date that falls on a public holiday will be subject to a $6500 minimum and must be booked 45 days in advance. All prices are exclusive of taxes and gratuity How many guests can I invite? As long as the minimum expenditure is met your group can be from 2 to 75 people. Our licensed capacity is 85 people, and includes staff. Is a deposit required? -A deposit of 20% of the minimum is required upon confirmation of the reservation which is to be confirmed 14 days in advance. The remainder is due on the day of the function. - A full restaurant booking can be cancelled with no less than 14 day’s notice, any less and the deposit is forfeited. - The final confirmation of guests in attendance is required 3 days in advance, unless previously arranged. - You will be billed for the final confirmation number or the number of guests in attendance, whichever is greater. - When a Deposit is made you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of a full restaurant booking with Absinthe. What times are available to book a private function? Lunch functions ((Monday – Friday) 11:30 am – 4:00pm with lunch being served from 11:30am – 2:00pm Dinner Functions (7 Days) 5:30pm – 2:00am with dinner being served between 5:30 and 9:00pm* Extras such as midnight snacks are happily arranged Can we dance?* Yes, we create the dance floor by moving the middle tables and chairs. The tables on the East and West sides of the restaurant are left so guests can have a place to sit. Can we set up the room for a meeting? The room can be set to accommodate meetings. Any visual equipment can be set up by the bar; this gives the best view from all tables. Video equipment is not available from the restaurant and should be arranged by the organizer prior to the function date.
